Dr Darren Dancey is currently  the Head of Department of Computing and Mathematics at Manchester Metropolitan University.

Before this role he held various roles within the Faculty of Science and Engineering since joining the University as Lecturer in Computer Science in 2011.

His research focus is in Artificial Intelligence, and he has a PhD in Artificial Neural Networks.  Recently he has been concentrating on creating collaborations and knowledge exchange between universities and industry with a focus on the SME sector.
